I. God’s Kingdom is Invisible but Powerful

2 Kings 6:15—18 (NKJV) 15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”
16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18 So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

Jesus with the Woman at the Well in Samaria

John 4:31—34 (NKJV) 31 In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”
32 But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.”
33 Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?”
34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

You may appear to be behind enemy lines. I’m here to remind you that you are not alone. God and His Angels are with us. His power is greater.
- Pastor Doyle A Jackson

II. Can We Celebrate Our Nation?

1 Timothy 2:1-8 (NIV) 1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles. 8 Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.

“Nothing is more wonderful than the art of being free, but nothing is harder to learn how to use than freedom.”
— Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America

“There is a paradox at the center of what’s been called American exceptionalism. It’s that a significant part of what makes us exceptional is that in some sense we are a nation on a mission beyond ourselves and beyond our borders. We are a nation with a mission to the rest of the world. This idea is startling but inescapable. If we are to keep the republic, then, our keeping it is not nearly for our own sake.”
Eric Metaxas

III. The Battle Is the Lord’s

Psalms 56:8—9 (NIV) 8 Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll—are they not in your record? 9 Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me.

Psalms 144:1—2 (GW) 1 Thank the Lord, my rock, who trained my hands to fight and my fingers to do battle, 2 my merciful one, my fortress, my stronghold, and my savior, my shield, the one in whom I take refuge, and the one who brings people under my authority.

Our Mission

Moving people closer to God

Our Vision (What we see ourselves doing every day)

Meeting you where you are: “the Jesus way”

  • Jesus left heaven for us - John 6:38

  • Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life - John 14:6

  • Repeatedly, the Bible says Jesus went out to the people, villages, and region.

A Prayer for Our Time

September 2021 * 1 Sam 14:6

Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the Name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We are overwhelmed by the cruelty, neglect, ambition, and evil we see in our generation.
Humility & Repentance
Today, we humble ourselves before You on behalf of our nation and pray. Forgive us for seeking the pleasures of this world instead of You. We need to seek our peace in You alone. Our thinking and behavior have been wrongfully rooted in self. We ask Your forgiveness and that You break the hold of this selfish ambition and pride over our lives.
We need Your Help & Guidance
We need You now more than ever. Cleanse our hearts. We trust You for the future and look to You for hope. Thank You for being so patient toward us. We know You love us and we want to honor and love You in return. We surrender our decisions and direction to Your hands. Give us Your eyes to see and Your ears to hear how to move forward in a pleasing way before You. May we walk sensitive to Your Holy Spirit in these days. In Jesus’ name, Amen
