Family Circus
The Big Top

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.

I. Circus

27 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of
God he created them; male and female he created them.28 Then
God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth
and govern it. 24 This explains why a man leaves his father and
mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.

II. Circus

3 Some Pharisees came and tried to trap him with this question:
“Should a man be allowed to divorce his wife for just any reason?”
4 “Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record
that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’” 5 And
he said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother
and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ 6 Since
they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has
joined together.” Matthew 19:3-6

III. Circus

13 So God said to Noah, “I have decided to destroy all living
creatures, for they have filled the earth with violence. Yes, I will
wipe them all out along with the earth! 18 But I will confirm my
covenant with you. So enter the boat—you and your wife and your
sons and their wives. 19 Bring a pair of every kind of animal—a
male and a female—into the boat with you to keep them alive
during the flood. Genesis 6:13, 18-19
