2 Samuel 12:15-31

12:15-19 | Sin sometimes has natural consequences, such as the rupture of a relationship that results from betrayal. Sometimes the consequences are a form of divine punishment, as was the case for David and Bathsheba’s first child. David hoped God might change His mind, but He did not. When Christians seek forgiveness from God, the guilt goes away but the consequences remain.

12:23 | This is an encouraging verse for Christian parents who have lost children. Believers are assured that they will be reunited with them in heaven.
