This Not That 

Luke 5:33-6:19

Ever feel stuck in your faith journey and need to make changes to get to the next level? Jesus came to earth to complete the work the Father had begun in the Old Testament. The Old Testament was based on “law,” but Jesus came to bring something completely new – grace in the New Testament! Now He wants to use you to turn the world “Upside Down.”

“Old Wine” represents the Old Testament (law) 
“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world.”  Deuteronomy 28:1 NLT 

“New Wine” represents the New Testament (grace) 
“Because of this oath, Jesus is the one who guarantees this better covenant with God.” Hebrews 7:22 NLT 

Legalism kills the joy of the Gospel

Jesus turns “Rule” to “Relationship” 

Action Points:
–Turn to Jesus now
–Be willing to make changes that allow you to keep moving forward 
–Avoid people who want to hold you back from moving forward
