Easter People: Thomas=I’ve seen enough
John 20:24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”30 Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe[b] that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Thomas the doubter. He should be called, in my opinion, Thomas the____. There’s a need for greater honesty in our day,….Doubt is natural to rise up in all of our hearts.

Why? Because he prioritized being there. He showed up. He took the opportunity to be there. Even in his fear, even in his anger, even in all of it, he still was willing to open up the scripture, and ask God to talk to him.

verse 29, Jesus says, you have believed because you saw me. If Thomas had taken him at his invitation, and actually touched him, and gone, OK, now I believe, Jesus would’ve said, you believe because you touched me. He didn’t. When Thomas finally received what he thought he would need to believe, he realized he didn’t need it after all. Seeing him was enough

See the KING today: When you see Him its more then enough!

A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and that followed were shouting, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!’ When he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was in turmoil, asking, ‘Who is this?’ The crowds were saying, ‘This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee.’”
