Today’s Scriptures
John 8:31-32; John 18:33-40

You want to go through life changed and secured with a grasp on ABSOLUTE TRUTH or worried and anxious with a wiki-grasp on wiki-faith and wiki-truth for the rest of your wiki-life?

Tolerant people will not

your intolerance.

Relativism is…. “It may be true for you but not for me.”

Calling a Truth doesn’t make it false.

READ TOGETHER
John 8:31 So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;
32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

Don’t God’s truth just so you can repeat the facts, God’s truth so you can reap the blessings.

It is in our obedience to

where we reap the harvest of the blessings of truth.

READ TOGETHER
John 18:33 Therefore Pilate entered again into the Praetorium, and summoned Jesus and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”
34 Jesus answered, “Are you saying this on your own initiative, or did others tell you about Me?”
35 Pilate answered, “I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered You to me; what have You done?”
36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.”
37 Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews and said to them, “I find no guilt in Him.
39 But you have a custom that I release someone for you at the Passover; do you wish then that I release for you the King of the Jews?” 40 So they cried out again, saying, “Not this Man, but Barabbas.” Now Barabbas was a robber.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.

John 16:13a But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth…

Psalm 119:89 Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.

2. Discuss in a Life Group

DISCUSS:

Discuss why it is important to know what is TRUTH and what is not.

Discuss what ways you have seen relativism grow in culture.

How does obedience to God’s truth help us better understand His truth?

Why do you think the greatest fight on truth is the claim that belief in Jesus is the only way to Heaven?

3. Pray Together

Pray for each other and record any prayer requests here.
