13 Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NLT)
The Five Priorities
Be on Guard
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 (NLT)
But you do know this: You know that if the homeowner had known what time of night the burglar would arrive, he would have been there with his dogs to prevent the break-in. Be vigilant just like that. Matthew 24:39-44 (MSG)
Stand Firm in the Faith
Standing firm in the faith means holding on to God’s word without compromise.
Sometimes it is in the most difficult of times that we find the most clarity of purpose.
To live is Christ…but to die is gain
Endure all things…
Set your affections on things above…
Nothing can separate us from the love of God…
I have fought the good fight.
I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.
Be Courageous
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
Following Christ is not for cowards.
The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT)
Be Strong
The strength that God demands is also the strength that God provides.
But when you ask for something, you must have faith and not doubt. Anyone who doubts is like an ocean wave tossed around in a storm. James 1:6 (CEV)
If you are that kind of person, you can’t make up your mind, and you surely can’t be trusted. So don’t expect the Lord to give you anything at all. James 1:7-8 (CEV)
One bad moment could destroy a lifetime of being careful.
Do Everything in Love
AGAPE LOVE = U + (B4) + ME
If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1 (NLT)
If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2 (NLT)
If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:3 (NLT)
Won’t be the burden of being less than what we were made to be like being what they suggest. - Lecrae
He sent His son to be in a relationship with you. He died for you so you can be in a relationship with him.
