Luke 8:1-18

Luke 8:8 –
Let anyone who has ears to hear listen.
A. Four Ways to Listen to God’s word:
1. Ignore what you’ve heard. (Hard soil.)
The Principle of Response:
Passive responses diminish receptivity.
Active responses increase receptivity.
2. Get excited, but don’t take it too seriously. (Shallow soil.)
3. Start to do something about it, but not follow through. (Choked soil.)
4. Apply what you heard, and tell others. (Good soil.)
B. How to Prepare for Church:
1. Come with an open heart.
2. Pay attention.
3. Take notes.
4. Take action.
