The 4 “L”s”.

The first of the four “L”s is “Learn”.
The second of the 4 “L”s is “Love”.
The third of the 4 “L”s is “Live”.
The fourth of the 4 “L”s is “Lead”.

Today we are going to take a look at the fourth “L”.

Lead.

Hebrews 12:1-2
…And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith…

What do you think the race is that God’s marked out for you?

Ephesians 2:10
10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

What if you don’t do the things He’s planned for you to do?

Philippians 1:27
Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ…

What does it mean to conduct your life worthy of the gospel?

Ephesians 4:1

…I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

What do you think your calling is?

Our Vision:

Love Jesus

… and love everyone .

Matthew 22:37-40
“‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

Our Mission:

Make

who make .

Matthew 28: 18-20
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

How to embrace the vision and mission that Jesus has given us….

1. Know your

.

Acts 1:8
…and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

2 Timothy 1:8
…do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner.

1 Peter 3:15-16 (NLT)
…if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way.

2 Timothy 4:2 (NIV)
Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.

Revelation 12:11 (NIV)
They triumphed over him (the enemy) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;

Your story has three parts.

A. Your old life:
B. How you became a Christian:
C. Your new life as a Christian:
D. Tips:

  1. Use your story to

    other Christians.

  2. Find a place to

others (in the church and/or outside the church).

Serving God and serving others impacts your faith.

Serving others impacts others.

4) Be a person of

where ever God plants you.

In your :

Colossians 3:23-24
23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Live with .

Proverbs 11:3
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.

Be a team mate.

Ephesians 6:5-9
5Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.

Romans 15:5-6
May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Be .

James 4:6
“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

Matthew 20:26-29
whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Forget

.

Hebrews 12:15
Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God.

Be an … not a .

Proverbs 13:3
Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.

5. Give .

Why?

1) It show Him that He has your heart.
2) He uses that 10 percent to forward His kingdom on this earth.

*6. Pour into . *

Titus 2:7-8
And you yourself must be an example … by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. 8 Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized.

Matthew 9:35-38
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

This is what I want to be able to say at the end.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

This is what I want to hear said to me at the end.

Matthew 25:23
…’Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
