All Christian must expect temptation, opposition, and war in this life. Yet Jesus’ victory assures us that we can fight from a position of victory.

1. As a Christian, You must expect to be tempted.
• God allows us to be “tested” but NEVER “tempts.”
• Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tested.
2. As a Christian, You must expect to be opposed by the evil one.
• Satan challenges Jesus to act in self-interest.
• Satan challenges Jesus to act outside of God’s plan for Him.
3. As a Christian, You must fight as God prescribes.
   • Jesus picks up the shield of faith.
   • Jesus picks up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

4. As a Christian, You must rest assured in the victory of Christ.
