Introduction:

I. Love by

to one another because you love (Eph. 5:18-21)

Be filled with the Spirit… submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. Eph. 5:18-21

II. Love as Christ has

Love one another as I have loved you - John 13:34

This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. - John 15: 12-13

By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us… let us love not in word or talk but in deed and in truth. - 1 John 3:16-18

III. Love

(1 John 4:7-11)

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. - 1 John 4:10-11
