Daniel 7:15-28

7:15-22 | The beastly kingdoms of this world are now replaced by a just and righteous kingdom ruled by a human-like figure, the Son of Man, who is none other than Jesus Christ (Matt. 9:6; Mark 10:45). Christ first came to earth as the Son of Man to suffer and die; He will come a second time as the Son of Man to defeat His enemies and set up His eternal kingdom on earth (Rev. 20).

7:25 | Persecute literally means “to wear out” – he will wear out the saints (those who become Christians during the Tribulation) like one wears out an item of clothing. The Antichrist will not just harass those believers: he will seek to snuff them out, probably through public seizure and economic squeeze as the result of their refusal of his mark on their heads and hands (Rev. 13:16-17). He will starve some of them out.
