Can God Provide?
Matthew 6:25-34
“So do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” For the Gentiles seek after all these things, but your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.”
Matthew 6:31-32
Jesus wanted us to know that God’s knowing what we need is accompanied by His desiring to meet our need.
“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”
Matthew 7:11
1.God Knows About Your
“Your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him.” Matthew 6:8
“Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.”Matthew 6:32
“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”
Isaiah 65:24
“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Psalm 37:25
*“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matthew 6:26
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?” Matthew 6:28-30*
Our Heavenly Father Knows All About Us!
“O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD.” Psalm 139:1-4
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are–yet he did not sin.” Hebrews 4:15
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8
“So Abraham called that place ‘Jehovah Jireh’, The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, ‘On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.’” Genesis 22:14
3.God Can
*”God will supply all that you need from his glorious resources in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 *
Mindsets about God’s provision:
•** The
– I will never have
I trust what is in the bag more than the blessor.
“You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them into a bag with holes in it.” Haggai 1:6
Some people find it difficult to be generous or to tithe because they think, “If I give it away, I won’t have enough.”
• The
– God is an abundant God, and we can trust Him.
We have more than enough because God is abundant and has everything that we need.
“The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.” Deuteronomy 28:4-6
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:37
“And they all ate and were satisfied. They picked up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve full baskets.” Matthew 14:20
When you wake up and realize you have more than you need, what do you do?
• The
– the one who knows that God is infinitely more than enough.
“The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.” Deuteronomy 28:8
“Whoever can be trusted with very little (bag) can also be trusted with much (barn), and whoever is dishonest with very little (bag) will also be dishonest with much (barn). So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?” Luke 16:10-11
90% that is blessed by God will go further than 100% that is not blessed by God.
