Dr. Virgie Lacey gave the right hand of fellowship, on her own, at the age of 16 not fully understanding the meaning of just how significantly this would change her life. She did not even fully understand how to even walk the journey thus she went through wilderness seasons, and dark periods, before she would come to the same fork in the road. It was years later, but when she did, she said yes! Virgie attributes her passion for serving God to her mother, Justine Poole, who instilled Christian values in her from a young age. Her passion for the Word of God has come through personal experiences of the Holy Spirit, healing by God, and through great leadership cultivating and pushing her towards purpose.
Her passion and purpose for ministry began formally in 2006, at Christian Faith Fellowship Church (CFFC), under the leadership of Pastor Darrell Brown who encouraged studying to show thyself approved, walking in character and integrity, and walking in restoration. After a change in leadership, in 2011, at CFFC she sat under the leadership of Pastor Beverly Thompson until 2016. Under her leadership Virgie served as an exhorter, intercessor, and as an assistant to the pastor. It was during this time of leadership transition she started delivering the Word, teaching Bible Study, and walking in the role of an intercessor. Prayer has always been her passion from young adulthood, and she continues to build everything she puts her hand to on the foundation of fervent prayer. In 2009, she released a short book entitled “At Water’s Edge” to remind us of the importance of our relationship with God that we may be equipped to face day to-day adversities, and obligations, with a renewed mind and refreshed spirit.
At the end of 2016, during one of the best times and one of the worst times of her life, God shifted and sent Virgie to Crossover International Ministries. In this place she sat under the leadership of Apostle Antwain Braggs where the pursuit of the Presence and walking in excellence was enhanced greatly. She served as Executive Administrator, Personal Assistant, and Minister. For two and half years she was cultivated, trained, and sharpened through serving in mobile ministry and evangelism. She attended The Rock School of Ministry taught by Prophet Thomas and Tameka Ray and was licensed as a minister during this time. She, also, has been trained in The School of the Prophetic under Apostle Nathaniel Coe III, The School of Deliverance by Apostle Alexander Thompson of Ever Abundant Life and continues to receive training as an active partner of House of Glory International, led by Apostle Nathaniel Coe III. God has continued to propel her forward into where she is now serving as an active apostle for House of Glory Philadelphia under the leadership of Apostles Nathaniel and Myeesha Coe. In addition, she serves as the Executive Leader for Online Partnership & Community for House of Glory Philadelphia and as Liaison for House of Glory International.
Virgie continues to unfold the vision God has given her as she serves in “another man’s vineyard” and has birthed Rhema House of Glory Ministries. The ministry serves the community through food distributions and Word and worship online. The ministry also birthed Prayer Warriors Rise Prayer Encounter. It is an annual Prayer Training to revive and reignite the intercessor. Her belief is that we are not just messengers for God, but we are His heart, hand, and mouth in the earth. We are here to awaken, unlock, and empower people by leading them to Jesus first. When we see the heart and character of Jesus in the people we serve then, we know we have served our purpose. In the words of JJ Weeks her motto is “Let them see You in me, Lord.” In addition, Virgie also is the owner of 2BSacred Enterprises, a business comprising two components: virtual administration for individuals, businesses, and organizations and writing coaching/publishing. God has merged ministry and business through Mentorship Writing 101 which helps others write and publish their story.
Virgie Lacey is an aspiring author, educator, and former college professor. She is the mother of three children: Je’Nae, Di’anda, and Ja’Coby and four grandchildren: Kaiden, Raiden, Jayden, and Railee. Academically, Virgie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, master’s degree in educational leadership: emphasis in Curriculum & Instruction in Science, and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership. Virgie says that the five scriptures which mean the most to her are Galatians 1:15-16, Jeremiah 1:5, and Isaiah 61:1-3, and Luke 12:27, Psalm 24:3-5.
