Tenth asar: A tenth, root oser: Cause to grow, cause to be rich, make enrich.


Shutting the door to Temptations

Matt 6:9-13
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’


Shut the door to temptations when you are secure in who you are in Christ, which was settled 2000 years ago. You are as fully accepted as Christ is. Your failures do not change who you are. You need God and His Word to overcome and not give a foothold to the evil one.

1. Discern the key of temptation

Luke 4:1-3
The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”


Luke 3:22
… the Holy Spirit descended … like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” NKJV


Psa 68:5-6
5A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.

You are as fully accepted as is!

Eph 1:5-6
Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. NKJV

Accepted χαριτοω charitoō: Grace, highly favored, honor with blessings. Strong’s


God has fully accepted and highly favored you as much as He has favored Christ!


Do not associate your with what you do


Your value - you are - was settled 2000 years ago


John 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. NKJV

Your failures do not who you are


He sees you as you are.
He loves you as you are.
He calls you as you are.
He won’t leave you as you are.

Knowing who you are, you will yourself

Jas 1:18
By His own desire He made us His own sons through the Word (message) of truth, that we, should be His treasured possession of all creation. JY

Treasured possession: First fruit, first place, the best, the most important, most precious, the crown of.


Eph 1:7
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.

2. Ask God for to deliver us

1 Cor 10:13-14
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. NKJV

Don’t give a to the evil one

Eph 4:26-27
“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold.

Foothold *topos: Place, room, license, space, opportunity.


1 Cor 6:18
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. NIV


2 Tim 2:22
Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. NKJV

Dwell on His and your

Psa 119:9
How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.
