SEEKING THE SECRET PLACE: CHRIST FORMED IN ME

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. —Matthew 6:33

13  “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the Lord honorable, and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,
14  Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; and I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord has spoken.” —Isaiah 58:13 - 14

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” —Psalms 91:1 - 2

2. The spiritual altitude that comes from waiting in The Secret Place.

Then you shall delight yourself in the  Lord; and I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth… —Isaiah 58:14a-b

1 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.
2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.
3 He has put a new song in my mouth- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord.
4 Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. —Psalms 40:1-4

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. —Isaiah 40:31

3. The spiritual altitude that comes from declaring “The Lord is my strength” in The Secret Place.

Then you shall delight yourself in the  Lord; and I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth… —Isaiah 58:14a-b

17  Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls—
18  Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19  The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills. —Habakkuk 3:17 - 19

4. The perspective of a Secret Place altitude.

Then you shall delight yourself in the  Lord; and I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth… —Isaiah 58:14a-b

And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”
So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. —2 Kings 6:15 - 17

I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel. —Isaiah 45:3

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” —Matthew 11:28 - 30
