Today we celebrate all that God has done in and through Rio Church–together we can do more than we could alone.

We have each been given gifts from God for the common good, and through that, He has–and continues to–build His church.

4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;

God has given each one of us a portion of the greater whole–and when we come together we can do more to show the world the Spirit of God and His love.

A COMMON SAVIOR (vs. 5)

5and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;

God has given us a gift so that we can serve the same Lord–and there are a LOT of ways we can do that. Everything from serving in an official capacity within the church to sharing God’s love with our neighbors over a meal.

A COMMON STRENGTH (vs. 6)

6and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.

We all bring what we’ve been given–and we do all we can with all our strength. But ultimately its God who gives the power to make things move.

*7To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. *

Our gifts have been given by God for us to bring Him glory–but we do this by loving one another. Our gifts are given for the common good.
