FINISH LINE
2021 Year End
Week One:

Text:

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” —Hebrews 12:1-3

A few thoughts on these three scriptures…
1. Recognize the cloud of witnesses (faithful) have themselves been in the same

.

2. If you’re gonna run there is no option than to .
-You have to pre-wire your mind to believe you’re going to face trials.
-Your strength comes from the Lord…the maker of heaven and earth.

3. The answer (strength, faith) comes with on Jesus.
-He has to be the focus or you will never endure.
-“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and everything else will be added when needed.”

4. Keep His sacrifice in your life.
Everyday should be a day of personal communion…remembering your sin and His sacrifice.
-In doing so we will not grow weary.
