
Most of us agree the world is a much kinder place during Christmas time. It seems that people put aside their differences for this small window of time and make a sincere effort to show compassion and generosity toward others.
What’s most interesting is that the public seems to embrace a blended reality of Santa Claus and Baby Jesus at the same time! The two could not be more different. It’s sad really that Jesus would have to share a spotlight with anyone

Out of the King James verse comes the modern saying “peace on earth good will toward men.” This saying is deceiving in that it actually means peace is available to men, but it does not mean men possess it.
Isaiah 9:6
The deception is furthered by the fact that there will be no “peace on earth” until the “Prince of peace” returns. Until then, God’s peace will only be experienced on earth by those on whom His favor rests or with whom He is well-pleased.
To be clear, the peace spoken about in Luke 2:8-14 is selective and not for the entire world. It is a treasured gift for the believers of Christ who are favored.
Now that we have our peace straight: the world’s peace and God’s peace are not the same.
He has a higher standard of peace for His children. God’s peace is not contingent on our circumstances but His spirit that dwells in us.
God’s peace is always available to us.
Do you want to be able to walk in the stillness of His great power no matter the environment?
peace is a necessary component of survival in our everyday lives.
We all need His peace.

There are many benefits to peace. It’s God’s peace that stands guard over our hearts and minds daily.

Have you settled for the watered-down earthly version of peace or are you living a life pleasing to God that His spirit may commune with you at all times?
You must have His spirit to possess His peace.
Peace is a bridge to overcoming obstacles even before victory is seized.
It is used before, during, and after spiritual combat.
Knowing Jesus is Lord over all adversaries dismisses fear and provides confidence to us as believers. This is why we can stand on our peace in battle.

When things in our life start to unravel, we take peace in knowing Jesus has already overcome the World. Through Christ we to are overcomers.
John 16:33
If the world is overcoming you, perhaps you need to pick up the peace Jesus is offering to mankind. If you are searching for something greater than what this world has to offer, know that God has a supernatural solution for you in His peace.
Peace also provides a timely defense in a chosen season. God may choose to hide you in His care allowing for periods of solitude and greater development in Him.
If you are struggling today and need a respite know God can provide a season of Harmony in your environment. pray Lord send a season of peace!

God may also be providing you reprieve for a season to prepare yourself for a greater kingdom challenge.

Picking God’s peace is a choice we all can make. The offering was to all of mankind but only some will partake in it. The decision pays lifechanging dividends for all who seek Christ.
It starts with us first choosing Jesus and then choosing to let His peace saturate our lives until it overflows into the lives of others.
Pray that God use you to enrich the lives of others with His great love and peace.

If we yield to it, God’s peace will undermine sin in our lives and provide the confidence we need to overcome difficult seasons. It will allow us to be a light in a dark world and lead the way to Christ.
Don’t be fooled by counterfeit substitutes. Real peace comes only from God.

While the wicked world we live in may not be able to indulge in God’s peace, please understand that His peace is reserved for you. Don’t let the enemy cheat you out of this kingdom benefit and powerful weapon of spiritual warfare.
