1. Have you gotten bored with the Lord’s table? If so, why do you think this has happened?
2. When the Lord’s table is familiar and mundane, what are the consequences?
3. Pastor Robert noted that the apple and horseradish dish in the traditional Passover meal was a reminder that in tears there can be sweetness. Can you relate? Have you had tearful experiences in which your relationship with the Lord has been particularly sweet?
4. How does Pastor Robert’s walk through Jesus’s Passover dinner with the disciples affect your appreciation of Jesus initiating a new covenant for us?
5. Do you struggle to believe that God truly accepts you? What is the impact of embracing this truth?
6. Do you accept Jesus as he is? What is the toughest part of accepting Jesus for you?

PRAYER

Lord, thank you for the cup of redemption provided for us because of your sacrifice on the cross. Thank you for the new covenant by which we’re brought into relationship with you. May we cherish and celebrate this each time we partake of the table.
