1. In Galatians 1:1-5 Paul is introducing himself and his letter. What do you hear Paul saying in just those five verses of salutation? What do you think about beginning a letter that way? Why do you think Paul did?
In this salutation, Paul gave us the essence of the gospel. Jot down as many words, phrases, or concepts from those verses that communicate the nature of the gospel (e.g. “grace”).
In verse 4, Paul uses the phrase “who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age.” In what ways are you experiencing the delivering power of the Jesus Christ in your life?
