Matthew 6:25-34
1. Do Not Worry (Matt. 6:25, 1 Peter 5:7)
- Worry = excessive concern
- Your peace depends upon the the state of the things you worry about
- Turn down the heat
2. God Provides (Matt. 6:25-32)
- Consider the birds and wildflowers
- God is taking care of you more than you give Him credit for
3. Do not mistake where your responsibility ends and God’s provision begins. (Matt. 6:33-34)
- You are responsible for seeking the kingdom, you are not responsible for the outcome

Small Group Discussion Questions
Read Matthew 6:25-33. What do you think is the difference between simply caring about things like food and clothing and actually worrying about them like Jesus is telling us not to do? When does concern become unhealthy or sinful?
What areas of life do you feel like are easy for you to care too much about? And what usually happens as a result?
In verses 26-30 Jesus tells His disciples that God will take care of them just like He takes care of birds and wildflowers. In what ways do you think God provides for you in ways you don’t notice or give Him credit for?
In verse 33 what does Jesus tell us is our job, and what does He tell us is God’s job? In what ways might we be tempted to mix these up?
What is something you’ve been struggling with being anxious about lately? How can we come alongside you in prayer to take that anxiety off your shoulders and put it on the Lord’s shoulders?
