Jesus Christ is Risen!

John 10:7-10 (NKJV)
7 Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
 8 All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ offers hope for everyone!

John 10:10 (NKJV)
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

If we believe that Jesus defeated death and arose from the grave, then why do we struggle with Jesus’ statement of ‘abundant life’?

Two Truths of the Abundant Life…

I. The Abundant Life Begins with a Relationship with Jesus Christ.

John 10:9 (NKJV)
9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

II. The Abundant Life Places a Target on Your Back.

John 10:10 (NKJV)
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

“Trusting God means looking beyond what we can see to what God sees.” —Charles Stanley

John 10:10 (NKJV)

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Jesus came to improve your life, but He also came to save your soul.

God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus;
He came to love, heal and forgive;

He lived and died to buy my pardon,

An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
