Sermon Title: “A Blessing God: Wants a Blessing People”

The Hebrew word for “Bless” is Barack. It means to invoke divine favor upon its a type of prayer. “May God’s favor be upon you.”

Genesis 1:27-28
“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.””

Genesis 12:1-3
“Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country, And from your relatives And from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you; And I will make you into a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.””

Abraham was chosen by God to be a blessing to the nations, that everyone on earth would be blessed through him.

Genesis 18:18
“since Abraham will certainly become a great and mighty nation, and in him all the nations of the earth will be blessed?”

The Blessing of Abraham was
