- In your own words, how would you explain the plan the manager came up with following being confronted by the rich man? (v. 4)
- Why does the manager commend the dishonest manager?
- Why is it equally as important to be trustworthy with little things as compared to the big things? (ie: managing 1 employee versus managing an entire company) (v.10)
- Everyone serves a “master” and sometimes we can place someone or something else in the position of our master. As Jesus says, “No one can serve two masters.” (v.13) What or who do you struggle with having as your “master” at times in your life?
- How does the reaction of the Pharisees show us how we should value wealth and possessions?
- What point is Jesus trying to make about the Law in verse 17?
- How does the topic change in verse 18 with divorce fit in with the rest of the message Jesus is saying?
