Prayer for Our Growing Community

Day Twenty

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.
- 2 Corinthians 5:20

It’s no secret that our city is growing at an unprecedented rate. Over 8 million people now call the Dallas-Fort Worth region home and they’re coming from all over the world. Forty-nine percent of the population in Frisco comes from a racial minority group. Even as we send more of our congregation among the nations, the nations are coming to us. The growing population of our community illustrates exactly why we need to expand our physical space, plant and revitalize more churches.

Lord, we thank you for the opportunity to represent and proclaim your gospel among such a large and growing population. We pray for those who have recently moved here and others who are still to come. Create a stirring in their hearts for you and awaken them to their need for their Savior. Please open our eyes to the spiritual darkness around us and create opportunities to share the hope we have in you. Give us the courage to be your ambassadors. We ask that you make your appeal through us today. Amen.

1. Ask for fresh compassion toward the people in your life who don’t know the Lord.
2. Pray for opportunities to share your hope in Christ.
3. As you drive to and from your day’s activities, thank God for the growing community, and continue to pray for our new neighbors.
