John 16:33 AMP
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]

Jesus was and is always trying to prepare His people to be in the best position and mindset possible to navigate the waters we will encounter.

Kingdom over everything…

  • As citizens of Heaven, our goal is to see and hear what God sees and hears.

Hebrews 12:28-29
Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, 29 for our God is a consuming fire.

2 Chronicles 7:12-16
12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon in the night and said to him: “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice. 13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that my name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time.

God always has a place and a people where He sends His blessings on.

1 Peter 2:5
5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. you and I are the temple.

Proverbs 14:34.
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.

How to navigate this Political Season.

Pray Passionately

James 5:16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].

Prepare Civically.

Nobody makes a greater mistake than He who does nothing because He could only do a little.

Vote Biblically

There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic nor popular, but He must take it because conscience tells him it is right.
- Martin Luther King Jr.

How to Posture ourselves in this season.

1- Posture Your Life Called by His Name.

2- Humble Ourselves.

3- Seek His Face.

Discussion Questions:

1- How Does God prepare us to handle upcoming seasons we may encounter? Describe a time in your life that this happened in.

2- Read Hebrews12:28-29. What does an unshakeable Kingdom mean? How do we stand unshaken during such intense times of shaking?

3- What’s our posture as Bible-believing people of faith in these days? How do we position ourselves under His name?

4- How can we stay rooted in Jesus and follow His lead during this current socio-cultural and political climate?

5- Regardless of our political stance, how can we stay Christlike and united with one another? With those whom we agree with, and those whom we disagree?

6- Pray for unity and for the Church to arise with authority under the banner of Jesus.
