THE FORGOTTEN GOD

HE (THE SPIRIT) HAS ALWAYS BEEN

US.

Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1:2

ruwach (roo’-akh); wind; breath, a violent exhalation; blast of breath.

HE WAS SPECIFICALLY

TO US.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever- 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. John 14:16-17

Counselor: parakletos (par-ak’-lay-tos); an intercessor, consoler, advocate, comforter, helper.

WHY ARE MANY LIVING A SPIRIT-LESS LIFE?

MOST AREN’T AWARE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2 and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” Acts 19:1-3

ALLOW THE SPIRIT TO:

1.

YOU.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever… John 14:16 KJV

YOU.

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. John 16:13

YOU.

When (the Spirit) comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: John 16:8
