Q: What is the reason for practicing the gifts?

Today we will notice that God divinely equips each member of the body for the furtherance of the kingdom of God- the church.

Q: What are the gifts?

A super natural ability to do super natural things. 1 Cor. 12:8-10

• Word of

: Skill in the affairs of life, practical wisdom, wise management as shown in forming the best plans and selecting the best means, including the idea of sound judgment and good sense. Acts 6:3; 7:10: Col. 1:28; 3:16; 4:5
-Knowledge rightly applied. Jer. 32:6-7; Mk. 12:14

• Word of

: The word refers to supernatural knowledge that is only known through supernatural insight; without which it would not be known. Jn. 4; Acts 6

: The gift of faith is an unusual measure of trust in God beyond that which is exercised by most Christians. It is a supernatural ability to believe God for unique circumstances, to have extraordinary confidence in the will and purpose of God. Acts 3:1-10, 14:8-10

• Gifts of

: Refers to the ability to restore health and life, according to the will of the Lord. This has to do with spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical healing. Matt. 9:35; 46. Acts 28:8-9; 2 Tim. 4:20; Acts 19:1

• The working of

: Other signs and wonders that operate beyond the gift of healings. It is the supernatural ability to perform something that is humanly impossible, and supersedes the natural laws of God’s universe. Acts 19:1
