Death To Life

Romans 6:1-14

Sometimes it is easy to think things like, “Well, if I do what God doesn’t want me to do, He will forgive me anyway.” The wonderful truth of God’s word is that He has already won the victory over sins that easily get a stronghold on us. Romans 6 tells us – the old person is dead, dead to sin!

Remember…
The good news brings us from death to new life.
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” v4

Freedom doesn’t mean we get to do whatever we want; but true freedom means we get to live in God’s boundaries.
“What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?” v1

Sin (continual sin) no longer has a hold on us.
“because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.” v7

Action Points:
Be baptized.
Stop living in the “old ways” and be obedient to the “new way”.
Guard your heart and your choices.
