Psalm 8:1-4
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants,
you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, 4 what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
Us not hearing or missing God has more to do with having a wrong or limited perspective of who God is, more than making a wrong turn along the way.
God never promised us a blueprint that doesn’t require faith.
2Thess 3:16 AMPC
Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace (the peace of His kingdom) at all times and in all ways [under all circumstances and conditions, whatever comes]. The Lord [be] with you all.
“When God speaks, peace is the message…never settle for any course that’s not characterized by peace…it’s not God.”
- Diane Eble -
Peace is not a byproduct of making the right choice, peace is what God gives us to step out in faith.
Col 3:15
15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
Psalm 85:8
let me hear what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints; but let them not turn back to folly.
How to have Peace:
1- We want Gods peace but we continue to give into people, places, and sources where the byproduct is chaos.
Before we can think about restoring the temple, we have to restore the altar place where God is, His way, His peace.
2- Learn to trust the Spirt of God inside of us.
Acts 15:22- Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas.
3- Invite the God of peace to guard your heart.
Phil 4:7
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
“If you lived in a town constantly harassed by enemy raids, one option for the military would be to send troops to actually live beside you. They wouldn’t just provide protection during an attack they would dissuade the enemy from launching future attacks.
The Holy Spirit has set up a garrison [a stronghold…a defense army…an occupying force] within us. And God’s garrison of peace will indwell your heart and mind, protecting you, and healing the wounds of worry and fear that threaten to invade your life. It’s the kind of peace that transcends human understanding because it’s God-powered and Spirit-connected.
