Summarize the story of Joseph and his brothers in Genesis 42-46. Then read out loud Colossians 3:12-14.
Are there offenses that have been committed against you that are very difficult for you to forgive? What is the process like for you to forgive?
How do we learn how to forgive? Is it easier for you to forgive someone when you remember that Jesus Christ loved and forgave you first?
When is reconciliation part of forgiveness? When is it NOT part of forgiveness?
Reflecting on the entire story of Joseph, does seeing God’s plan in the midst of pain and suffering make that pain and suffering easier to endure? Why or why not?
How does Genesis 42-46 fit into the entire Story Of God and the narrative of the book of Genesis? Why does this matter for the rest of the Bible?
