Childlike Faith | Part 2: Watch and Follow | Message by: Tori VanderPloeg

BIG Idea: Childlike faith grows up—not to lose its wonder, but to become an example others can watch and follow.

Application: Let your life be a living example of Christ: create safe environments for growth, encourage others toward maturity, and invite God’s grace to fill every gap as you lead and teach the next generation.

Matthew 18:6-7 (NLT)
“And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me. But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea. “What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting.”

Your life matters to the Kingdom of God in ways you may not even fully see right now.

3 Ways Childlike Faith grows, leads, and helps others follow:

1.We set an

Titus 2:2-8 (NLT)

Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience. Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God. In the same way, encourage the young men to live wisely. And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us.

We don’t just hope people are doing okay. We go find out.

1 Timothy 4:12
“Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.”
