- What is the most significant promise you have made to someone, besides your marriage vows? What is the most significant promise someone has made to you?
- What particular promises from God’s Word do you regularly cling to? What promises can you share with others in the group for their encouragement?
- Read 1 Corinthians 15:50-58. What intrigues you most about this passage? See also 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
- When will the promise of 1 Cor 15:55 be fully realized? Why then do we oftentimes read this verse at funerals? How does it bring comfort?
- Talk through how verses 56-57 relate to the Gospel. What is our biggest problem? How is the Gospel the only solution?
- Read Romans 5:12-20. Discuss the importance of the idea of Imputation. Email Pastor Schock for a brief helpful resource, if needed.
- How have you grown in the last month in your understanding of Christ’s and our bodily resurrection? How does that encourage you to “be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord”(v58)?
