SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS

The heart and hand questions are very personal in this study. This may be a good week to split up as men and women.
HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
1. Read Deut 17:14-20. What were the commands given to the kings? Why are they important?
2. Reflect on the role of the Word, Prayer, and Worship in the lives of the Kings. Which kings do you see making space for God in these areas?
3. How does this pattern of the kings neglecting their inner foundations relate to Jesus and the Gospel?
4. How does the concept of “creating space for God” resonate with you?

HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
5. What are some ways that you are making space for God in your life right now? What are some ways you would like to be more intentional about making space for God?

HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
6. If you could put a message in a time capsule for your future self, what would it say about building a strong inner life?
