An authentic life is

but it is not . You will need to take action to get there.

Three Steps Toward An Authentic Life

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the
right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”
(Romans 8:1)

2.

“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If
we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:8-9)

3.

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you
may be healed.” (James 5:16a)

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)

Three Things That Kill Authentic Community

  1. : “A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.” (Proverbs 11:13)

  2. : “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18)

  3. : “Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it—I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while—yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.” (2 Corinthians 7:8-10)
