It wasn’t the physical structures that God was concerned about but the community of His people living in worship to Him.

There is power in community!

1 Corinthians 12:12 The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. (NLT)

Ephesians 4:3-4,16 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future…He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. (NLT)

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. (NLT)

Nehemiah 4:15-17 When our enemies heard that we knew of their plans and that God had frustrated them, we all returned to our work on the wall.
