Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6\Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.”

1 in 60 Rule of Aviation: If a plane’s heading is off by 1 degree, after 60 nautical miles the aircraft will be 1 mile off-course.

  1. Adjust Your Heart
Proverbs 3:5a “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…”
Proverbs 4:23 “Guard your heart above all else for it determines the course of your life.”
Psalm 51:10a “Create in me a clean heart, O God.”
Jeremiah 17:9a “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things and desperately wicked.”

  2. Adjust Your Vision
Proverbs 3:5b “…do not depend on your own understanding.”
Jeremiah 29:11“‘I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’”
2 Corinthians 4:18 “We do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

  3. Adjust Your Will
Proverbs 3:6a “Seek His will in all you do…”
Luke 22:42 “Father, if You are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from Me. Yet I want Your will to be done, not Mine.”
Romans 12:1-2 “Dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice - the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

  4. Adjust Your Path
Proverbs 3:6b “…and He will show you which path to take.”
Psalm 1:1 “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly nor stands in the path of sinners..”
Psalm 119:105 “Your Word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”
