Daily Devotions: God is our ever present Help

Day 1: Where Does My Help Come From?– September 16, 2024

Devotional
Psalm 121 begins with a profound question: ‘Where does my help come from?’ This question is not just rhetorical; it invites us to reflect deeply on the source of our strength and support. The answer provided is both comforting and reassuring: ‘My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.’ Recognizing that our help comes from the Creator of the universe dispels any fears or doubts we may have about our circumstances. When we understand that the One who made everything is also the One who helps us, we can face life’s challenges with renewed confidence and peace.

When we face trials and challenges, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and lose sight of God’s sovereignty. However, remembering that God is still on the throne gives us hope and assurance that He is working all things for our good. This perspective helps us to trust in His plan and remain steadfast in our faith.
