Ecclesiastes 11:4 “If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.”

Reset Your Family

a) Love Them As They Are
1 Corinthians 13:4b “Love cares more for others than for self….”
Rick Riordan (The Sea of Monsters): “Families are messy. Sometimes the best we can do is to remind each other that we’re related for better or for worse…and try to keep the maiming and killing to a minimum.”
John 15:12 “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”
Love is like a roller coaster. When it’s good you don’t want to get off and when it isn’t you can’t wait to throw up.
1 John 4:19 “We love each other as a result of God loving us first.”

b) Accept Them As They Are
Ephesians 1:4 “Long ago, even before He made the world, God chose us to be His very own through what Christ would do for us; He decided then to make us holy in His eyes, without a single fault - we who stand before Him covered with His love.”
Marjorie Pay Hinckley: “Home is where you are loved the most and act the worst.”
Romans 5:8 “God showed how much He loved us by having Christ die for us - even though we were sinful.”
- If you want someone who never criticizes you, doesn’t care how good or bad you look, acts as though every word you say is worth hearing, never complains and loves you unconditionally all the time…get a dog!

c) Serve Them As They Are
Matthew 20:28 “The Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and give His life a ransom for many.”
Lord Arthur Dewar: “Love is an ocean of emotions entirely surrounded by expenses.”
1 Corinthians 13:7c “Love always looks for the best, never looks back but keeps going to the end.”
Dale Bronner: “Love is a commitment that you make and commitment is expressed through time and money. If you are committed to loving someone, you will spend time with them and you will spend money on them.”

The big idea: It’s time for a reset!
