1. In Leviticus chapter 16, God institutes the Day of
• Why did God warn Aaron not to go casually behind the inner curtain where the ark was?
• The priests were to sprinkle blood on the atonement cover. What and who else needed to be atoned for?
• What was the purpose of the scapegoat?
• How often did this Day of Atonement need to be observed? What thoughts do you have about the Day of Atonement?

1. List the various feasts God instructed the Israelites to follow. Include what the people were to do and any other interesting observations you noticed.
Application
Reflect on God’s emphasis of a blood sacrifice on the Day of Atonement. Now read Hebrews 9:19-28 and worship Jesus for His atoning sacrifice for the world.
Note how 1 John 2:2-6 describes an authentic Christian’s life in response to Jesus’s sacrifice.
