Matthew 1:24-25 “Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him Mary his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus.”

  1. You Should Always Seek Him
Matthew 2:1-2a “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea in the days of Herod the king, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, ‘Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?”
Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”
1 Chronicles 16:11 “Seek the Lord and His strength, seek His presence continually.”

  2. You Should Always Worship Him
Matthew 2:2b “For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
Matthew 2:11 “And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and they fell down and worshiped Him.”
Dr. Elmer Towns: “True worship never allows us to remain the same person we were before we came into the presence of God.”
Psalm 34:1 “I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (NKJV)
John 4:23-24 ”The time is coming - indeed it’s here now - when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship Him that way. God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

  3. You Should Always Obey Him
Matthew 2:12,16 “Being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, the wise men departed for their own country another way. Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry.”
James Robison: “Obey the laws of the Kingdom and you will have heaven manifest in you. Disobey it, and you will have hellishness right now.”
Exodus 19:5 “If you will obey My voice and keep My covenant, you will be a special treasure to Me above all people.”
Job 36:11 “If you obey and serve Him, you will spend your days in prosperity and your years in pleasure.”
John 14:15 “If you love Me, obey My commandments.”

The big idea: Christmas is the greatest story ever told!
