The Weakness of the Law to overcome sin

Justification: God declaring one Righteous, or not guilty. Solely on the basis of Biblical faith. Is a legal pronouncement from God. Is not a process. It is given to us upon saving faith. Cannot be earned by good works.
Romans 3: 28 “For we maintain that a main is Justified by faith apart from the works of the Law.:

Sanctification: To be set apart to God. The process of the renewal of our fallen nature by the work of the Holy Spirit. To become more and more like God. Is a process.

  1. What is my relationship to the Law as a believer in Christ?
    A. I am

    from the Law. From its and from its penalty.

  2. So why does the Law even exist then? What is its purpose?
    A. The Law

Romans 8:1-4
“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, weak as it was in the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering of sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk after the flesh but according to the spirit.”
