Acts 28
“For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time for my departure is close. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. There is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me, but to all those who have loved his appearing.” —2 Timothy 4:6–8 (CSB)
“Paul stayed two whole years in his own rented house. And he welcomed all who visited him, proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.” —Acts 28:30–31 (CSB)

CP Group Discussion Questions
All of us have read the obituaries of people who have passed away. Sometimes we knew the person, and sometimes we didn’t. What kinds of things do you typically find written in a person’s obituary? What kinds of things do you rarely read in an obituary? Why?
Warning: Vulnerable question ahead! What kinds of things do you hope your family will write in your obituary one day?
On Sunday, Mike referenced an old bumper sticker that read, “Live in such a way that the preacher doesn’t have to lie at your funeral.” Does this statement make you laugh, cringe, or both? Why?
Ask a group member to read 2 Timothy 4:6-8. On Sunday, Mike pointed out that Paul was facing his nearing death without any shame or regret. Regarding the legacy Paul was leaving behind (not necessarily his salvation/eternal destination), what factors do you think gave him this kind of peace at the end of his life?
Looking back on question #2, are there priorities in your own life that need to be adjusted for you to one day leave behind a legacy you can be proud of?
