a. Who is Levi? What is his occupation? Why is Jesus’ interaction with Levi significant within the cultural context that Jesus is teaching?

b. Given this context, why is Jesus calling this man to “follow Him” scandalous? What would be a cultural equivalent today? How would you think the church would respond if the church leadership brought a cultural equivalent to Levi onto the staff? How would you personally respond?
