INTRODUCE: What nickname have you been given and what was the story of meaning of why it was given to you?

READ: 2 Samuel 21:18, 1 Chronicles 20:4, John 10:7-10, 28-30 (read all of John 10)

Begin the time by praying together.

DISCUSS:
1. The giant from 2 Samuel 21:18 was Saph (fence keeper) also known as Sippai (to snatch, to consume, to destroy). How do you see this giant in your life?
2. Have you ever had an item similar to “hot gloves” that you were unwilling to give up? How did you change your heart?
3. Have you ever feared getting “snatched” or someone close to you getting taken? How did you deal with this fear?
4. Have you feared that your soul would be stolen? Describe this experience.
5. Jesus said, “I am the shepherd and the gate” as the protector for us. He is protecting us from Satan and he also spoke to the religious leaders. What does it look like now?
6. “No power of hell, no scheme of man | Can ever pluck me from His hand | Till He returns or calls me home | Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand (quote from “In Christ alone” song) how is this speaking to you right now?
