  1. Have you ever been swindled by someone? What was the story? What did you do? How did you feel?
  2. Read Matthew 7:12-23. Why do you think Jesus ends His sermon on the mount in this way? What do you think He is emphasizing?
  3. True and false teachers will often both often appeal to Scripture. How can we know which teachings are true and which are false?
  4. What could be dangers to mostly listening to teachers/preachers we don’t personally know? Flip the question around - could there be dangers to never listening to teachers/preachers that we don’t personally know?
