3. He’s vs She’s // Destiny Rescue Fundraiser
Be sure to donate to either the youth girls (She’s) or the youth boys (He’s) as they raise money for Destiny Rescue. Destiny Rescue is a nonprofit working to free children from sex trafficking. 4. Harvest Carnival // Oct 25 // 6-8pm // NGC
Join us for a fun-filled, family evening of carnival games, concessions, mini pumpkin painting, balloon animals, and much more! Come dressed in your best costume OR your everyday wear! The event is free for families with kids up to the 5th grade. Families are welcome to drop in or stay the whole time.

5. Operation Christmas Child
Between now and Nov 25, fill a shoebox and bring the Love of Jesus to a child. Shoeboxes and info are in the front lobby

Paul’s Powerful Prayer

Teaching and Encouragement

  • Paul prays for the Colossians, with thanksgiving, compassion and love.
  • Faith is trust. We may disagree with God, but it doesn’t make Him less trustworthy.
  • Faith is expressed in the way we love one another.
  • Eternal life is something Jesus promised to His followers.
    • 1 John 5:11
    • 1 Corinthians 15:43-44
    • John 14:3
  • “Hope” in Heaven is confident expectation not wishful thinking.
  • Believers are promised “abundant” life on top of eternal life.
    • John 10:10
  • Abundant life comes from a relationship with Jesus.
    • Ephesians 1:3
  • Truth matters, and what God says about us matters because it is true.
    • Psalm 8:4
  • Fruit is produced by trees for others and also for reproduction.
    • Genesis 1:29
  • As we have received God’s grace, we want to reproduce that in others.

  • To receive spiritual truths, one must first be “born again.”
    • John 3:6-8
  • Walking worthy looks like this:
    • Being fully pleasing to Him
    • Being fruitful in good works as evidence of a changed life Increasing in knowledge of God
    • John 17:3
    • Being strengthened with might by power of the Holy Spirit
    • Understanding all long-suffering and joy produces gratitude
  • Why do we walk worthy?
    • We have been qualified.
    • We have been given an inheritance in Heaven.
    • We have been delivered from the power of darkness.
    • We have been brought into the kingdom of the Son of His Love.
    • We have been redeemed by His blood.
    • 1 Peter 1:18-19
