2nd Core Value - Love One Another

“Jesus has set himself as the standard for how Christians are to

and for one another. He says ‘By this all people will know that you are my disciples.’” At Avenue, we want to have that type of distinct love for one another. We aim to be true friends with one another who enjoy life together, not just weekly acquaintances in worship.

5 Reasons to Love One Another

  3. People see God our Love for One Another
    (1 John 4:11-12)
  4. Loving Others is of our Salvation.
    (1 John 4:13-16)
  5. We don’t have to God’s Judgment. (1 John 4:17-19)

1. What do you think Jesus meant when he said, a “new commandment I give you?”
2. Would you say your experiences in churches have been “Agape Love” or “Conditional Love” or “No Love at all?” Why?
3. What consequences are there when we do assemble together and love each other consistently?
