Part of New Year, Same Mission—Vision Month 2024
January 7, 2024

Vision Month

• Each January we take the month to refocus ourselves on who God has called us to be as a church family. So, naturally the He has given us a mission and a purpose collectively, but that demands each one of us owe the vision and our part of it individually.
• That which you don’t intentionally remember, you unintentionally forget.
• You will never become later that which you are not becoming now.
• God brought each one of you here for a reason and that reason is the mission.
• We are here to worship God, love people, make disciples, and make a difference.
• Our goal for today is to remind ourselves of some very important truths regarding the mission God has called us to. To learn these, we will look at the story of Jonah.

God is moving

• What do you expect ministry to look like?
• If He is calling you there, He is

there. If God has called you here, He wants to use you.
• There will be people you with, people you don’t like, people that exhaust you.
• The Great Commission is with relational minimalism.

God’s mission is not just to save them, but to us

• You are going to come to the end of

.
• You are going to need God’s going forward. That’s part of His design.

// Romans 8:16-17 | The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. >> The suffering is a proving ground to help us see our deep, deep need for Him. Following Jesus in His love for those around us will bring this reality to the foreground.

Following puts us on the of seeing fruit

• The Gospel is the

of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.
• Does God want you to see that fruit from the or from the frontlines? How are you preparing to be a part of someone else’s ?

Where are you? You are here.
